Here it is the 4th quarter of 2023. I basically have not posted anything since the beginning of the pandemic. The pandemic definitely changed my rhythm in a big way. I think I am starting to finally get back to normal. Though I have had all of my covid shots I still got covid 19 twice. Luckily I did not have a bad time with it. Although the first time it did have a weird phycological effect on me.

There have been a lot of changes for me on a personal level. The pandemic was very disruptive. I have been working on much larger scale paintings since the pandemic got started and a lot less time on the internet until recently. I have moved the main studio down to Albuquerque from Santa Fe almost exactly one year ago. It is so much cheaper to get a lot of space in Albuquerque and I needed more space. for working on the bigger paintings up to 6 x 10 feet in size.

Hello, Mr. Touchon ! I hope this finds you well. I don’t usually write fan letters, but I just discovered your work while wandering around the internet (and it’s black holes) doing research for a scenic design I am working on. At 71, I just discovered that what I have done in an informal way since high school (and usually haven’t kept) has a name…asemic writing. Who knew? I guess I don’t spend enough time on the internet. Coming from a family of artists and designers, I’ve been a type nerd all my life, even if I veered into other fields. I just wanted to say that your work is inspiring….truly wonderful. I am on the verge of stopping work in the theater and returning to drawing and painting again, and it gives me hope that I perhaps have more yet rolling around in my cluttered brain that is useful. Thank you so much ! All the best, Judyg.
